Job Summary:

The Nurse Educator is responsible for providing orientation and continuing education programs for our Home Health Aides as needed. This position is charged with planning and implementing appropriate learning activities and evaluating the effectiveness of the staff learning. The Educator would be involved in partnering directly withthe Patient Care Services Departmentto achieve their goals.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

*Responsibilities may include additional tasks according to the needs of the department and the organization*

• Design and continuously improve and adapt curriculum depending on educational needs.
• Provide educational and development training services to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
• Create an environment in classroom and Home Care settings that facilitates HHA learning and the achievement of desired cognitive, effective, and psycho motor outcomes.
• Prepare HHA to function effectively in the health care environment.
• Implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
• Promote and utilize evidence-based practices in teaching modality and incorporate latest trends on infection control, tele-health, Value-Based Practices, and others.

· Coordinate required HHA in-services, training and education on various modality such as online training, classroom set-up and others. Assist in corporate education and training for the offices staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience:

· License Practical Nurse- Required .

· Must possess current valid NYS LPN License

· 2 – 5 years’ experience working in a clinical setting.

· Previous experience in a teaching setting preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
