LPN position available in Marlinton, WV, MON - FRI, DAY SHIFT. LPN provides administrative and clinical support to physician and other medical professionals. Responsible for collecting vitals; assessment and patient education on tobacco, alcohol, and drug use, diabetes, and other health conditions.HS Diploma or GED and current WV Licensed Practical Nurse licensure or Medical Office Assistant
certification required. Minimum of one (1) year of responsible administrative experience and demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills required. Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to physician and other medical professionals.
  • Collect vitals on patients.
  • Complete current list of medications to include over the counter medications.
  • Complete screening for preventative care conditions such as Body Mass Index (BMI), nutrition, physical activity, tobacco and alcohol use, depression, and suicide risk.
  • Provide patient education on health issues, such as smoking cessation, diabetes, medication compliance, etc..
  • Update patient history, including data required for meaningful use and obtain chief complaint (primary care).
  • Implements physician orders including administer medications and injections within the scope of documented training.
  • Complete referrals to outside facilities and specialists to ensure continuity of care and provide follow-up.
  • Accurately and timely completion of documentation in medical record.
  • Represent Seneca in a positive manner including maintaining a positive attitude and performing duties in a manner in accordance with Seneca’s Mission and Code of Conduct and Ethical Practices.
  • Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment and follows guidelines outlined in Seneca’s Exposure Control Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
