Kulshan Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time or part-time, small animal, licensed veterinary technician. The responsibilities of a licensed technician at KVH include client education, obtaining patient history, induction of anesthesia, monitoring anesthetic procedures, performing dental procedures including dental radiography, exceptional restraint of feline and canine patients, lab procedures, administering vaccines/medications and dispensing medications. Candidates must be dependable with a solid work history including experience in the veterinary field, be able to multi-task and be willing to learn on the job. Excellent client service and animal handling skills are essential.

Our hospital is open Monday - Saturday and hours may vary. We have two hospitals, located in Lynden and Ferndale and flexibility to work at either hospital is appreciated. Must have excellent written and verbal English skills. Experience is preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

A Licensed Veterinary Technician will be required to stand for long periods, and perform moderately
heavy physical labor. They must be able to handle and restrain animals. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. A technician must be able to work energetically for the entire assigned shift, sometimes exceeding 10
hours per day. The shift does not end until all duties are completed for the day. Applicant should have no serious allergies to dogs or cats.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
