SUMMARY

The Laundry Supervisor ("Supervisor de Lavandería")assists in managing the daily operations of a laundry services department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Leads laundry and uniform personnel to ensure a consistent supply of clean, neat, and quality linens and uniforms.
• Perform laundry activities to maintain top-level cleanliness, according to the health and safety standards of Evans Hotels and OSHA.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and hold communication meetings for staff.
• Ensure laundry equipment and facility are in the best operating condition.
• Handle concerns of guests and follow up on activities as required.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, running day-to-day operations, hospitality & customer service skills preferred.
• Previous similar position in top-quality restaurant or hotel is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
• The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
