St. Mark School in Catonsville, Maryland, is seeking candidates for a middle school Language Arts teaching position. The teacher will serve as a full time teacher in our Pre-K3 to 8th grade Catholic School. The teacher is responsible for planning and implementing standards based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement lessons consistent with the Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines
• Create a safe and orderly learning environment
• Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum
• Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner
• Participate in faculty meetings, committee meetings, professional development opportunities, and retreats
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration
• Assess students fairly and regularly
• Actively supervise students at all times.
• Maintain professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Perform non teaching related duties such as recess and lunch duty and parking lot duty

Qualifications:

• MSDE certification
• Experience with elementary/middle school age students
• Strong technology skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
