Job description

The Junior Software Developer is responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects, using primarily ASP.Net Framework, C#, JavaScript and MSSQL. The Software Developer will be involved in supporting and maintaining software applications and designing enhancements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

Core functions:

· Designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications.

· Design and implement features and functionality within existing software platforms.

· Manage support ticketing system including user communications, issue replication, diagnosis and resolving bugs.

· Collaborates with system owners and other development team members to design, develop, install, and deploy new applications and/or upgrades to existing applications.

· Ensures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

· Assist in task planning and estimation.

· Ensures proper system documentation.

· Provides ideas for new product enhancements utilizing the latest technology and best-practices.

In addition, you will:

· Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

· Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying new and existing legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary action.

· Protect operations by keeping company information confidential.

· Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients needs.

· Demonstrate BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.

· Follow all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives.

· Maintain safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.

· May be required to work overtime.

· Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

· Possess the ability to use and skillfully operate a computer is essential to this position.

· Successfully work from remote location.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job does not have specific supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is highly preferred.

o Open to new graduates and entry level candidates.

o Years of experience and certifications in lieu of degree will be given consideration.

o Experience working remotely as a part of a collaborative team.

• Knowledge of standard software development methodologies.

o None required.

PREFERENCE will be given to candidates with knowledge of or experience with:

o Microsoft web technologies (ASP.NET Framework, C#)

o Web Services & APIs

o Microsoft Azure platform

o Microsoft Azure application architecture

o Microsoft SQL Server

o JSON

o JavaScript and frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS, Angular2)

o Microsoft Office Products

o Testing framework experience

Other Qualifications:

o Must have a cell phone and supply your own internet service.

o Must be able to work from a remote location.

o Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows

o Excellent verbal and written communication with Sales, Clients, Technical Operations, and other departments

o Strong written and verbal communication skills.

o Excellent time management skills including ability to perform multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
