As a Barclays JOC - Physical Security Operator, you will join our team where you will have the opportunity to scan the horizon for threats and risks. Once with us, you will be assisting with incident management by tracking, reporting and escalating information to management and stakeholders. You will play an important role in helping prevent, protect and deter potential risks from materializing and be able to assist quickly if a risk materializes.

This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting and reporting directly to JOC - Physical Security Supervisor
• Effectively responding to all security incidents related to Barclays Business Operations, its branches, employees and ensuring timely notifications for escalation or action necessary
• Providing effective monitoring of Access Control Systems, Alarm Systems, Camera Systems, Travel Systems, and other security systems throughout the Americas Region
• Completing investigations, recurring requirements, and security analysis
• Building and maintaining solid relationships with landlord and site security teams situated across the Americas region
• Developing an approach and attitude that encourages all stakeholders to contact the JOC - Physical Security Team on all matters of concern relating to Security
• Actively ensuring Compliance with Barclays Policies and Standards
• Coordinating with Security System vendors to ensure timely delivery of daily Security System Support requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) and Video Management Systems, Security Control Room/ Command Center
• Experience in handling security inquiries and delivering quality incident reports to senior stakeholders in a timely manner
• Solid knowledge of incident analysis, including on-site and off-site Events, Travel Security, and asset protection
• Experience in Physical Security, Incident Response, and Security Systems
