The IT Support Specialist will report to the Director of IT. This position will be responsible for providing world class service to our internal employees.

DESCRIPTION

The position of IT Support Specialist provides support and expertise on all things IT-related. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to ProcessBarron internal employees and assisting in managing and maintaining systems.

Job Duties

  • Provides world-class end user support

o Assists with onboarding of new users.

o Provides prompt support to users via email, phone, and other electronic means.

o Owns issues through resolution.

o Identifies and escalates complex issues as needed.

o Brings end-user trouble tickets to resolution.

o Provide support for Windows and Remote Desktop and services.

o Performs routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components.

o Create and maintain users for several different systems.

o Entering incidents in the support ticketing system.

  • Develops documentation

o Develops and maintains work instructions.

o Maintains clear and detailed documentation of enhancements, customizations.

o Document and communicate system errors/bugs with vendors or necessary parties

  • Monitors system performance to ensure proper operation

o Identifies and recommends process and system efficiencies

o Maintains proper system access for all users and roles in applications.

o Assists in maintaining inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses

o Perform setup, installation, and upgrade of computer systems.

o Assists in managing server, network, Office 365, Teams and Active Directory.

  • Be open to asking questions and continuous learning.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Work independently on a variety of projects as assigned.
  • Report to work when scheduled and on time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and two (2) years of related experience

Or High School Diploma and six (6) years of related business experience or Associates degree in computer science or information technology preferred.

Experience

  • 3+ years of IT or help desk experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Experience in documenting/drafting resolutions and processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Licenses and Certifications: (Preferred but not required)

CompTIA A+

CompTIA Network+

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1.00 per hour
