As a(n) Investor Relations Manager you will have the opportunity to help current and potential investors understand how Leggett aligns with their investment strategy. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by creating and delivering effective communication about our company to our investors. The team you will be working with is close-knit, and values the challenging work of this position.

So, what will you be doing as a Investor Relations Manager?

  • Collaborate with Investor Relations team and executive management to create investor messaging, integrated and consistent with strategic goals of the company
    • Assist in the development of all materials for quarterly earnings preparation process, including earnings release, slide deck, script, and key financial communication materials. Interact with internal teams to obtain data and analyze, interpret, and summarize to support messaging and communication.
    • Work with Marketing + Creative (and other parties) on external communications such as annual report, sustainability report, trade news releases, etc.
    • Work with Accounting and Legal to ensure all SEC filings are consistent with earnings materials and with other investor presentations
    • Oversee Investor Relations website content
  • Communicate with shareholders and analysts to keep them knowledgeable about market trends and long-term company strategy
  • Research investor questions and develop answers using cross-functional resources
    • Assist in coordination of analyst/investor meetings and conferences
    • Monitor sell-side research reports and analyst models to gauge investor sentiment and to identify perception or communication gaps
  • Develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders to provide financial and analytical assistance to executive management to support the company's initiatives
  • Participate in various workstreams to support the company’s ESG strategy
  • Cultivate a deep and thorough understanding of the company, its businesses, and macroenvironment trends
  • Stay current on internal operations, industry trends, and regulatory conditions, and financial and stock market outlook
  • Monitor and report on industry, customer, and/or peer company information and practices by tracking research reports, news, earnings calls, and other relevant resources


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Accounting or finance background; minimum 8 years of experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage his or her time effectively
  • Proven team player capable of prioritizing his or her own work and/or problems simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing, and demanding environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally with overnight stays, typically 10-15%.
