General Summary: IT Field Technicians perform a variety of duties related to the setup, configuration, and support of computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) devices in our convenience stores and corporate offices. This work is commonly performed on-site at a store and remotely from the office as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

· Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.

· Assist with the setup/maintenance of store computers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and networks including cabling, network hardware configuration, and PC-to-POS interface.

· Assist with maintenance of systems, applications, security, and network configurations.

· Setup new PCs and laptops for stores and individual users.

· Provide support/maintenance of network user accounts including rights, security, and system groups.

· Provides technical support identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems with computer software and hardware for problems specific to the organizations computer networks and systems.

· Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems, explain errors, and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks.

· Provide rotational weekend, weeknight, and holiday technical support.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Valid Driver’s License

· Minimum one (1) year of related experience or educational equivalent

· Professional appearance, a positive attitude, and a passion for information technology field

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staff.

· Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, networks, operating systems, or related software.

· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn various networking and systems hardware/software.

Physical Requirements:

· This position requires indoor work in retail store and office setting as well as some outdoor work. Travel is required in a company vehicle. Most travel consists of day trips – at home in the evening, but overnight trips are occasionally required.

· Able to lift equipment up to 55 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, and sit for long periods at a computer.
