Audubon is currently seeking an I/E Engineer to be part of a project team working onsite at a Client's plant in Deer Park, TX. The I/E Engineer is responsible for the instrumentation and electrical reliability and technical assurance for the Production Area(s) for which they are assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Areas of Responsibility will include:

  • Identifying longer-term electrical reliability threats.
  • Developing, integrating, planning, executing and driving electrical strategies/tactics.
  • Working closely with line leadership, technical resources, operators and mechanics to understand the business, site and user needs and priorities.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of process instrumentation equipment (pressure, flow, temperature, control valves, etc.).
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of 2.4 kV and 480V switchgear, protective relays application and testing, 2.4kV and 480V motor control centers and motors, and 120/208 VAC uninterruptible power systems.
  • Providing trouble shooting support and follow-up on instrumentation and electrical equipment failures, determining root cause and identifying actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluating the existing instrumentation and utilizing engineering design processes to improve accuracy, reliability, and calibration records.
  • Recommending, sourcing, and ensuring proper installation of new instruments in a manner that will provide accurate, and reliable process control.
  • Providing hands on assistance to E&I Technicians with trouble shooting instrumentation problems including system calibrations.
  • Assisting in developing capital project programs of new equipment and major repairs.
  • Utilizing computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 7+ years' of relevant experience.
  • Experienced with Honeywell, Delta V and Triconex.
  • Knowledge of Electrical standards.
  • Self-Starter who can set goals and organize own work.
  • Strong Communication and listening skills.
  • Good meeting facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • A leader in personal and process safety.
