WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
This senior position will support control algorithms design support for electrified drivetrain with focus on EV mechatronic gearboxes controls and will execute and analyze all Model In the Loop simulations highlighting areas to be improved by the control team.
This global role will support both agricultural and construction equipment projects.
This position will work closely with the Electrified Control Managers in US and EU, the rest of Electrified Integration pillars as well as our Tests facilities (EU/US) up to CNHI Product Validation, sharing with the rest of Electrified Control team the responsibilities to develop innovative control systems matching or exceeding customer expectations and to identify weaknesses early in the development process.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support control algorithms design for electrified drivetrain with focus on EV mechatronic gearboxes controls
- Support to identify the most efficient controls strategy to manage multiple energy flows entering the electrified drivetrain (ICE, motors/generators)
- Execute and analyze all Model In the Loop simulations highlighting areas to be improved by the control team.
- Interfaces with software engineering and other departments to facilitate the development process of electrified drivetrain
- Delivers work in an efficient and timely manner in completion of specific project milestones
- Ensures the use of engineering standards, methodologies, global product development processes in engineering team’s daily work, and proactively suggest improvements to them
- Provides team progress updates to direct manager as needed.

YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- 3+ Year of experience in Drivetrain control algorithm design and calibration for performances, with proven exposure to design and integration of application SW to manage electrified drivetrain.
- Master user of MATLAB/SIMULINK/STATEFLOW and virtual validation activities with Model In the Loop technology, able to identify the portion of the control logic root cause of the malfunction
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience in linear controls (classical and state space) system engineering and in non-linear controls (e.g. Back stepping, Sliding mode)
- Experience with Vector Canalyzer/Canoe (J1939)/INCA tools
- Ability to travel up to 15% of time
- Fluent English.
- Understanding of programming MDB and C(++) code within a structured software programming process
- Proven experience in design and integrating application software running on embedded ECUs. Highlighting LLSW weaknesses
- Knowledge in different communication protocols (J1939-14, J1939-15, J1939-73, UDS, SPI, ecc…)
- An extensive amount of independent thinking is required.
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work with tight deadline and under pressure
