Job Summary

The CBRE EHS Manager oversees a team of CBRE EHS Specialists and Supervisors who are tasked with supporting Our Global Tech Client's EHS operations in the management of our Client's overall EHS Programs. The duties of the EHS Manager for Operations is to ensure that the Client receives the highest level of quality and service from the CBRE EHS team. The EHS Manager will ensure that the members on the CBRE EHS Operations team frequently collaborates on assigned tasks and deliverables and works collectively with other CBRE EHS pillars to ensure a cohesive and supportive team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all required draft documentation, SOPs and guidelines are fully developed before submission to the Client EHS team for review, comment and approval.
  • Ensure that required lab inspections and safety inspections are coordinated with facility personnel and lab managers.
  • Ensure that all pre-inspection building and lab walk-throughs with the facilities te to ensure safety and compliance before Fire Department inspections.
  • Ensure that required risk assessments for lab spaces are conducted and all required documentation for mitigation of any findings are submitted and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that existing and new EHS programs are implemented.
  • Manage projects by the CBRE EHS team that include the development of design, content, and delivery methods of hands-on and online compliance training;
  • Manage projects that include the development of guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs);
  • Manage projects utilize a data tracking process and record keeping system.
  • Review and revise EHS programs to ensure relevance and compliance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Project management services include: maintaining project documentation, managing project timelines, identifying project risk and mitigation measure recommendations, providing regular project updates, project closure presentations including lessons learned and opportunities for improvement, and metric collection.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Minimum of 2 years of successfully managing EHS staff.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting lab inspections, chemical inventory and safety management.
  • Minimum 6 years experience working in the environmental, health and safety field.
  • Significant experience interacting with a variety of regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency using Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an EHS related field. Will consider 5+ years work experience in an EHS related field in lieu of educational requirements.

  • California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the HSE Manager - Operations position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the HSE Manager - Operations position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
