About the role

The HR Generalist provides ongoing support across a wide range of HR activities for Oscar Medical Group. The HR generalist is seen as an expert within all things People related, and as an escalation point to our cross functional leaders within the people team and across the employee and manager base.

This would include offering traditional HR and employee relations counsel, administration of benefits and leaves, ownership and relationship management of the HRIS/PEO vendor solution, and management of employee and contractor lifecycle processes such as on/off boarding, performance management, etc

You will report to the People Strategy Senior Director. This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change. #LI-Remote

The potential base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $96,000-$126,000. The potential base pay for this role in all other locations is: $86,400-$113,400.

Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for OMG employee inquiries relating to benefits, HR, Payroll, programs and other People-related topics
  • Recognize thematic opportunities for efficiency and automation leveraging current tools and partnering with functional stakeholders for process improvement.
  • Coach, teach, and provide visibility into optimization opportunities for current OMG people processes and/or risk including; reporting and auditing, process mapping, etc
  • Partner with OMG (Oscar Medical Group) leaders to ensure tight operations of OMG People processes (e.g., merit reviews, performance cycle, talent acquisition).
  • Manage OMGs benefits selection and the open enrollment process.
  • Manage OMG's PEO system and oversee related processes, including leave administration, payroll, PTO, etc. Maintain the relationship with the PEO vendor.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in HR generalist capacity.
  • Functional HR, Payroll, Benefits and Operations expertise including knowledge of best practices and how to keep an organization compliant
  • Performs customer service functions by answering questions from employees around HR, Payroll, Benefits, Onboarding, HR system (Workday)

  • Experience documenting and publishing SOPs and guidelines
  • Experience identifying thematic issues or break in processes and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Build relationships and trust with key stakeholders through strong partnership, and the consistent, high quality and timely delivery of projects

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
