Job Purpose Statement:


This position is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the district’s grant development, writing, management, and reporting systems. To accomplish these tasks, the Grants Manager works closely with the Cabinet Team and component school district staff and building administration to achieve stated financial and program goals.


Job Qualifications - Licensure & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, journalism, or similar field; or equivalent combination of education and/ or equivalent training and/or professional experience.
  • Three or more years of successful experience in writing for grants, communications, journalism, or other comparable writing experience.


Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities


  • Experience successfully writing, editing, and proofreading grant
  • Knowledge of governmental and nonprofit policies and online grant submission
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the distribution and delegation of multiple projects simultaneously and track work outcomes.


Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Performs some or all the following tasks. Other Duties may be assigned.


  • Generate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals and supporting documents to appropriate funding organizations.
  • Identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing, planned, and future program activities.
  • Coordinate with various contract grant writers and consultants to meet grant submission and reporting deadlines.
  • Contribute to the generation of grants and contracts that grow the programs in the district.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on the performance of program
  • Work with the district staff and community partners to align grant resources across the organization to align with Strategic Planning and priorities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as
  • Perform all pre-award and post award grant activities including timelines, compliance reporting, and communication to staff.
