Pro-Shop Employee Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, and all Assistant Golf Professional as directed for daily operations of the Golf Shop

· Oversee Outside Services and making sure all tasks are completed

· Operation of Club Caddie (POS) system

· Maintain a clean and friendly workplace

· Merchandise sales and Membership sales

· Membership relations and providing excellent customer service

· Folding and restaging of Golf Shop merchandise as directed

· Assisting membership with all their golf and athletic related needs

· Answer Pro Shop phone and assist callers as needed

· Pool and hot tub maintenance knowledge (This will be taught)

· Greeting all guest in welcoming ways

· Taking accurate notes on all membership inquiries or orders (Club orders, change forms, resignation forms, membership inquiries, etc.)

· Assisting in administrative work as directed for billing, member changes, etc.

Key Requirements:

· Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours

· Ability to lift 50lbs

· Sales experience is a bonus, but you will be trained

· Ability to work alone often/daily

· Ability to follow direction proficiently

· Highschool diploma

· At least 1 year of experience and knowledge of golf

· Ability to comprehend both written and verbal instructions

· Continually gaining knowledge of merchandise and golf related information

· Ability to write legibly, read proficiently, and make simple calculations

Benefits (Full Time Employees):

· The employee will be given a Full Club Golf membership, this includes golf for the employee, playing at reciprocal courses under their guidelines, range balls, athletic club, etc. All tee times must be approved by Head Professional or Director of Golf

· Guests pay full greens fees – Must be approved by Head Professional or Director of Golf

· Free carts when playing golf

· 30% off on food in the restaurant (on or off shift, extends to family members but must be all on one ticket)

· Free fountain drinks & coffee from the restaurant

· 15% off on Golf Shop clothing

· Golf clubs, golf balls, and glove discounts are subject to Head Professional or Director of Golf discount approvals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
