SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the General Accountant will become an integral member of the Greenville Finance team at the largest site in the Pharma Services Group (PSG). The holder of this position will develop and provide helpful analytics, as well as will develop strategic partnerships with multiple functions throughout the organization, including Business Management and the Development Services teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and will have the ability to effectively connect with all levels of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with business partners across the site, including business/project management teams, to drive improved performance and analytical insights in the area of Accounts Payable.
• Support critical recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to drive the business.
• Develop process improvements, focusing on automation and standard work.
• Support site compliance to SOX controls and external audits.
• Support month end close and key variance financial reporting.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Strong Excel and modeling skills.
• Experience with SAP (preferred, not required).
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to drive process improvements.
• Enthusiastic teammate and leader.
