Job description

We are a prominent Cardiology office looking to hire an experienced front receptionist/ back office associate. This person should be friendly and enthusiastic and have at least 1 year experience working in the medical field. Some duties include, but are not limited to:

• Patient appointment scheduling
• Answer multi-line phones and forward or take a message when appropriate
• Collect co-payments from patients in the form of cash, check, or credit-cards
• Patient insurance verification
• Checking in and out patients and collect patient demographics, insurance and all other necessary paperwork
• calling in/faxing prescriptions
• Submit medication prior authorizations
• Schedule doctor’s procedures at the hospital and coordinating with the patient
• Receiving, preparing, and filing medical records
• EMR/EHR
• Patient education
• CPT and ICD-10 coding basics
• Microsoft Office to include: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.50 per hour
