Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking experienced Flaggers/Traffic Control Laborers for our projects located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us.


Our flaggers play an essential role in keeping our employee owners and general public safe within and around the construction area.


Responsibilities

Our flagger is responsible for maintaining traffic flow around and through the designated construction zones.

  • Performing traffic control and flagging activities as need
  • Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices
  • Follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices
  • Report any safety hazards or traffic issues
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturdays, days, nights, and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass TSA background check and fingerprinting
  • Ability to pass a written airfield map test
  • Ability to pass a written test about the safety training/maps of taxiways
  • Must have previous experience as a flagger and directing traffic
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
