About the Position:

This position is located in the Department’s Fiscal Team within Office of the Chief Operating Officer. The Fiscal Team supports the mission of DHHS by ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timelines of the Department’s financial transactions and reports.

Position Duties:

This position is responsible for ensuring the timely accurate review, evaluation, determination of propriety, and processing of all non-payroll related disbursements.

Fiscal Assistant:

· serves as a Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the Oracle Financial Modules

· assists with Oracle Financial transactions, including invoice processing; purchasing, iExpense, General Ledger, Project and Grant inquiries and transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible, fiscally related clerical experience (e.g., matching invoices to receiving records and Purchase Orders (PO), posting journal entries, processing fiscal actions using automated systems and applications such as Microsoft) including demonstrated proficiency with integrated word processing and spreadsheet functions.

Education: Completion of an Associate of Arts degree with a major in Accounting or completion of 12 acceptable college credit hours in Accounting.

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Preferred Criteria

The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevancy of training, and experience in the following areas:

· Experience performing timely accurate review, evaluation, and processing of Accounts Payable related disbursements.
· Experience using ERP/Oracle financial systems or similar financial systems. Examples of systems used and how they were used should be provided.
· Proficient in using all Microsoft applications to perform accounts payable related activities. Specific examples of application use should be provided.
· Experience completing data entry, receiving, and matching purchase orders.
· Experience interacting with departments, vendors, and customers of an accounts payable function in a business-like, customer service-oriented manner
