Job Summary

GVEC is looking to hire a full-time First Year Apprentice Lineman that will be responsible for beginning at an entry-level inline construction while advancing in the GVEC Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities:

• Entry-level in line construction

Requirements:

• Must either produce training certificates demonstrating successful completion of the Lineman Training Program and/or successfully complete the GVEC Apprenticeship Program during employment
• Must have a good attitude and safe work ethics, Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of the start date
• Demonstrates ability to effectively evaluate and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Team player with the resolve to provide and take constructive criticism that helps evolve the team
• The ideal candidate must be able to work under adverse conditions, handle temperature extremes, and be willing to work overtime as well as in urgent situations as needed.
• Requires that residence be within 25 minutes of the reporting office within 12 months of start date.
