Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Business Development Planning Manager, the Financial Analyst - Benchmarking is primarily responsible for providing data analysis and reporting for the University Hospital and Community General benchmarking product. This will include quarterly data collection and submission, as well as reporting and analysis of operational efficiency, workload service intensity, and labor productivity. The position performs analytical and evaluative work which measures and quantifies the impact and effectiveness of hospital-wide programs. Will conduct data cleansing, uploading and querying of benchmarking data. Requires active participation in the Vizient Operational Database Program including implementing new methodologies and changes, providing input and responses to peer hospitals, and reporting on required primary and secondary measures. Responsible for meeting with hospital department managers and directors to collect, review, and present benchmarking data and results, as well as train end-users on technical and operational applications. Additional responsibilities will include assisting in the annual operational budget preparation process. Must have excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Healthcare Administration and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant finance experience plus excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong MS Excel and benchmarking experience preferred.


Work Days:

Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p
