Facilities Maintenance Worker
Assists in maintaining park buildings, grounds, playgrounds and athletic fields.

Supervision

• Reports directly to Director of Facilities for daily work assignments.

Example of Duties

• Loads utility vehicles with tools, check parks and playing fields on a daily basis.
• Mows grass at the parks and athletic fields, maintains common areas, and moves concession products, chairs and tables and other equipment for activities.
• Make minor repairs and paints buildings when needed.
• Operates utility vehicles, tractor, lawnmowers, weed eaters, power equipment, field machines, line-marking machine, rake, hoe, shovel, blowers and other park maintenance equipment as directed by Director of Facilities.
• Maintains athletic fields in good working condition as directed by the Director of Facilities.
• Collects trash, maintains bathrooms and inspects lighting and plumbing for needed repairs.

Schedule

• Must be available nights & weekends for part-time; weekends for full-time.
• 20-40 hours per week available.
• Park is open seven days a week, from 6am - 9pm on most evenings (may be later as schedule varies based on events).

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with lawn maintenance equipment preferred but not required.
• Graduation from a standard high school or GED equivalency recommended.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Able to perform manual labor required for operating a full-service park.

Compensation

• Hourly rate based on experience.
