Recovery Center of Niagara is a an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from a substance and alcohol use disorder. The Executive Directive provides overall strategic and operational direction for the facility, establishes policies and objectives in accordance with directives from the Chief Operating Officer. The Executive Director ensures that all departments are aligned with the strategic goals and support the mission and vision of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in collaboration with the CEO, COO, CFO, Program Director, Marketing, and Outreach Departments to establish a strategy and quarterly performance goals for the facility.
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the facility, ensuring that the program functions in the best interest of the clients and the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with State Licensure inspections, Joint Commission, OASAS, CARF, and OMIG requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining Joint Commission or CARF accreditation.
  • Responsible for timely completion of action plans related to all regulatory audits.
  • Works closely with respective Officers on issues related to treatment, business development, clinical productivity, compliance, contract management, revenue enhancement, capital and operating budgets including departmental service line budget development, variance analysis, and expense monitoring.
  • Meets with facility Medical Director on weekly basis to evaluate performance of the medical program.
  • Assists with the development and oversight of the annual budgets and collaborates with finance and operation leaders in the management of budget performance.
  • Regularly advocates and participates in outreach activities for Recovery Center of Niagara and any other entities associated with the Company.
  • Assists with analyzing trends impacting volume, revenues, payroll, and expenses and makes recommendations to allow for continued success within the organization.
  • Establishes annual and quarterly revenue and expense targets and works with CFO to maintain budget.
  • Maintains ownership of expenses, profits, losses, and ensure financial viability.
  • Ensures a transparent and conscious awareness of issues that need to be escalated and takes ownership of notifying all key stakeholders of those issues.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the changing healthcare environment and evaluates the market need for specific clinical services or programs.
  • Acts as an advocate aware of system resources to develop relationships and opportunities with internal and external parties.
  • Partners with Human Resources and Recruitment regarding talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • In consultation with and incorporating input from clinical leaders, physicians, and staff, conceives, plans, and executes proactive strategic initiatives that enable Recovery Center of Niagara to continuously improve patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in marketing and outreach initiatives, developing marketing campaigns, implementing programs, and reporting on measured results.
  • Identifies and oversees clinical issues as well as areas for quality improvement.
  • Provides medical, clinical, and operational oversight.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7-10 years of operational leadership experience in administration of a healthcare facility.
  • A qualified health professional with at least (2) years of experience in the provision of alcoholism substance abuse and/or chemical dependence.
  • Residential program experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred.
  • Currently credentialed or licensed in a healthcare discipline.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of clinical reimbursement, federal and state regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize clinical reimbursement and implements new policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Responds timely to requests for information.
  • Acts as the initial point of contact for Recovery Center of Niagara.
