Role Description

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to join the Public Policy and ESG team by supporting a Senior Executive who is responsible for International Government Affairs and ESG policy International.

This role will provide a lot of exposure to senior executives inside and outside the bank. It will involve a mix of tasks which are not solely confined to diary management or travel organization. The candidate will support the teams in the organization of key events to which senior executives and policy makers participate. The candidate will become familiar with how policy makers are approached including the EU and UK and international highest officials.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Diary management, including organising internal/external meetings and conference calls
  • Admin assistance for all expenses and admin needs in order to support the Brussels, London, Paris and Milan office
  • Develop knowledge of managers’ contacts in the public policy space internally and also externally (politicians and regulators in Europe)
  • Admin associated with team changes and on-boarding
  • Integrate with the broader ESG, Capital Deployment and Communication and Marketing teams and activities
  • Provide ad hoc support for the organization of key events (e.g. World Economic Forum or other Public Policy /Marketing activities )
  • Booking and making all necessary arrangements for business travel

The Team:

  • The team consist of 3 SVP , 3 VP, so a relative small and very international and polyglot team, based in several locations in Europe and internationally
  • This role will provide a lot of exposure to senior executives inside and outside the bank. A lot of exposure with US executives and Exco members in EMEA. Exposure to private offices of Governors of Central banks, national and EU politicians, Ministers, EU officials is also part of the role.

Core Skills:

  • Experience or ability to interact with senior stakeholders inside and outside the bank including government officials and foreign ambassadors
  • Comfortable with processing expenses and dealing with contractors and external vendors
  • Excellent PC skills including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with Concur and Ariba systems
  • Knowledge of English and Italian is required - other European languages would be an asset
  • Interest in International politics or ESG would be an asset
  • Proactive style and ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
