Position Type: Full-Time
Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• This remote position will support Java development for an enterprise service bus linking PLM and Logistic data systems for the US Navy Full development life cycle and production support/application maintenance in Agile/rapid development environment.
• Develop Java based frameworks for complex data processing.
• Develop understanding of client business processes, objectives, and solution requirements. Participate in project work groups with subject matter experts and stakeholders to understand data specific needs.
• Develop understanding of application processes, coding standards, and performance standards. Learn existing and new processes and technologies.
• Work with team lead / solution architect on solution design.
• Design logical and physical ERD diagrams, process flow diagrams, and related data processing design documentation.
• Code per development, performance, and secure coding standards; resolve defects identified in testing and code reviews.
• Work on sprint team in agile, rapid development and deployment environment.
• Support production application - investigate and resolve production inquiries and issues.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and Experience:
Required:

• Java based software development 5+ years of experience preferred
• Transactional and BI reporting systems (e.g., OLAP and data warehouse) - design, development, tuning, and production support
• ETL development
• Agile development methodology
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communications skills (both verbal & written)

Desired:

• Database design and modeling - both logical and physical.
• Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter).
• Experience with Mi (Migration and integration tool from eQube).

Security Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related) from an accredited University.
