Purpose of the role: The IT Support Engineer for Ardagh Group provides on-site service to plant and corporate office personnel. The IT Support Engineer coordinates all support needs for assigned locations. This individual should be knowledgeable in Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, and End User Technical Troubleshooting. He or She will report to the IT Support Supervisor. The role is in the plant or office facilities and is a member of the IT Support Team. The IT Support Engineer must be comfortable taking on small projects as assigned, asking questions, and working as part of a geographically dispersed team.

Key Responsibilities:
(75%) End User Support
Provides support to office staff and plant personnel, serves as an escalation point for the Helpdesk
Accurately records activities in ticketing system
Logs equipment details and assignment in asset management system
Identifies frequent/common issues and follows escalation procedure for problems/major incidents
Maintains relationship with facility management (Plant Managers, Plant Controllers, etc)
Undertakes small projects based on business requirements as assigned by manager.
(10%) Vendor Coordination
Oversees related IT contractors for daily support and project activities
Responsible for timely scheduling and task assignments
Reports on completion and quality of work
Ensures compliance with Ardagh needs and standards
(10%) Process Improvement
Identifies gaps or inefficiencies in existing operations and proposes solutions/improvements
Participates in idea generation for improvements
Execute agreed upon solutions to completion
Contributes to knowledgebase articles and documentation
(5%) Order and Receipt Processing
Submits purchase requisitions as needed for approval by manager
Timely receipt of goods in procurement system
24x7 On-Call Support for assigned weeks, primary point of contact within IT Support for all High Priority issues during these periods

Requirements:
Associates degree and 3 years of IT support and/or IT infrastructure experience or Bachelors degree and 1 year IT support experience
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with IT Concepts: Networking (DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, etc), Hardware Components (RAM, CPU, SSD, etc), Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365
Willingness to obtain one or more common industry certifications within first 60 days of employment

Particularly desirable certifications:
CompTIA A+ or Network+
Microsoft MD-100: Windows 10 or Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $65,200.00 and $97,800.00 per year. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for California residents. The salary range could be different for applicants who do not reside in California. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
