EMT for City of Glen Cove Summer Camp

• Carry out all first aid, management of medications and addressing any medical concerns with campers and staff
• Handle health emergencies and injuries, including emergency preparedness and provisions for professional health care
• Responsible for maintaining camp's daily medical log and complete records and reports required by Camp Director
• Keep inventory of supplies
• Review all camper records regarding medical, social/emotional and physical needs
• Attend all required pre-camp trainings
• Ensure all camper issues are handled and documented
• Contact parents when necessary and document all parental interactions
• Assist with any camp field trips/onsite and offsite activities that may require extra guidance
• Report required incidents to local health department within 24 hours
• Other duties as specified by Camp Director

Required qualifications:

• Must be a licensed NYS nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or emergency medical technician
• Certifications in CPR/AED and EpiPen as approved by the Local Department of Health

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, from late June-August 5, 2023

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
