Maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, environmental, mechanical, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation and new installations. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of the plant.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas;
- Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to;
- Assessing risks before starting tasks;
- Only performing authorized activities;
- Utilizing appropriate PPE.
- Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to;
- Developing self;
- Coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill set of the industrial electrical field including, but not limited to:
- Understanding of electrical units of measure;
- AC/DC voltage characteristics;
- Understanding of basic circuits.
- Understanding of hand tool usage & safety;
- Able to procure required tools for the position within three (3) months of job transfer;
- Must be able to successfully pass the prerequisite electrical examination;
- Demonstrated leadership and self direction, motivation and able to work independently or with a team;
- Willing to work weekends, night shifts, and call-outs, as needed;
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Solid individual safety track record: SAFETY is truly first at Holcim US;
- Other duties as assigned.
This position will have an alternating schedule of days and nights working 6:00-6:00
Qualifications:- Required Education:
- High School diploma/GED;
- Must be able to successfully pass the prerequisite electrical examination.
- Additional Education Preferred:
- Journeyman License
- Field of Study Preferred:
- Electrical Technology, Industrial electrician
- Travel Requirements:
- Some local travel
