About This Role:
Pacific Cascade, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Fleet Manager for our growing terminal in Sumner, Washington!
The Dispatcher is the primary contact for our fleet of Company and Independent truck drivers and works in concert with the fleet manager and operations team to schedule, coordinate and assign all daily shipments to dispatched daily. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision to our fleet company and independent truck drivers.
• Monitor and ensure effective and efficient delivery performance.
• Assign moves to truck drivers as needed per the daily dispatch schedule.
• Oversee fair and equitable distribution of loads amongst all drivers.
• Plan and execute order of deliveries to create efficient load drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Develop lasting relationships with drivers to improve performance and retention.
• Engage employees and independent contractors to instill company values and culture
• Ability to Multitask and Thrive in high volume and stressful situations.
• Able to work extended hours, weekends and shift flexibility as needed.
• Ability to work from home if needed (proper Internet ready)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent working experience.
• 2-5 years of intermodal/container transportation experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations
• Experience working with fleet of Employee or Independent truck drivers.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strategic thinker who is comfortable in a fast-paced, always-on, deadline driven environment
• Ability to prioritize and accurately execute time sensitive tasks
• Computerized dispatch skills (experience using TMS)
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Outlook
