Cooper Transport is rapidly growing its fleet and looking for our first internal dispatcher. We are seeking a motivated and intelligent person that can help grow our company to new heights. This person will be successful if they are naturally organized, can communicate clearly, and is comfortable on the phone and computer. This challenging position is made for the person that can build relationships and manage their own time unsupervised. As a dispatcher for Cooper Transport, you will be the link between our brokers and our CDL drivers. Every week the dispatcher must solve the puzzle of ensuring our fleet of trucks and drivers know where to be and when to be there and remains available to solve problems while en route to their destinations. We operate Monday through Friday so all employees can enjoy and rely on their time off.
You will:
- Monitor driver availability and off-duty requirements.
- Work with drivers to match loads with their preferences.
- Schedule loads that meet company requirements.
- Provide ETA updates to brokers.
- Submit BOLs/PODs to brokers.
