We are looking for someone who has a passion for the community we serve and experience in human services. The Director of Operations oversees the efficient overall operation, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of licensed programs, supported living, and program development areas. This position is responsible for providing the leadership and vision needed to deliver quality programming and treatment within Devereux CA and regulatory standards.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country. Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential and community living services, clinical services, and a vocational day program for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia, and other cognitive disorders.

Additionally, the Director of Operations:

  • Assists in creating and implementing operational plans, procedures, practices and mode of operation to ensure program quality
  • Recognizes problems in program delivery and responds proactively to eliminate/correct problem
  • Is aware of researched based best practices and works to implement them within the organization
  • Establishes effective outcome measures to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of program operations. Interacts with regulatory agencies (Department of Social Services – Community Care Licensing, Tri-Counties Regional Center/other regional centers, Department of Developmental Services) and ensures compliance with these regulations throughout the licensed and supported living programs, as applicable.
  • Remains attuned to referral source/customer needs/expectations and integrates these into program planning. Identifies strengths and weakness of programs and creates/implements plans of improvement.
  • Directs, coaches and supports managers in building strong teams. Responsible for creating a cohesive and competent program leadership team.
  • Sets programming priorities, establishes and manages budgets, and leads strategic planning of the programs. Is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Works closely with the senior and executive team to provide seamless services in all settings and participates in organizational strategic planning and budgeting. May provide oversight to center operations as designated by Executive Director/Vice President in time of critical need.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree preferred in business, clinical, or human services fields.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the human services or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years supervisory/management experience in a similar setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
