Position Summary:

The Director of Data Integration is responsible for the planning, coordination, and the directing of data migration and integration on the organizations IT Development team, providing technical and team leadership, and facilitating the tasks and activities of the team members.

The Director is also responsible for playing a key role in the development and implementation of data analysis, reporting, and visualization applications/platforms. The individual will work with the CTO on the design of database and software solutions and initiatives in support of the organizations information data platform(s) infrastructure, and manage and lead the implementation of solutions. The individual will work closely with IT and EQI Data Analysts as well as Program staff in providing support to the organizations data system user-base, aiding in identifying and recommending solutions, and planning and leading their implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees and leads the development of software and integration solutions within an Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle model.
• Supports the maintenance of existing information systems and the integration of various systems within, and external, to the organizations information system infrastructure.
• Leads the development of solutions providing communication mechanisms and data exchange.
• Meets with key stakeholders to identify issues and provide solutions in support of the organizations information system needs and data requirements.
• Perform quality assurance on all work prior to its release & supports the documentation of system requirements, UML design diagrams, test plans, training materials, and report specifications.
• Works with the CTO on the establishment of the organizations data-centric technical vision and leads and manages the implementation of that vision.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate problems and exercise solid judgement.

Experience in working with results-driven, customer-service oriented support teams.

Proven understanding and expertise in various data storage methodologies and platforms

Solid understanding of data analysis and Machine Learning algorithms as well as tools for visualizing and reporting on data

Work Experience:

Minimum 5 years in the information technology field.

Experience working in a non-profit environment is strongly desired, preferably with Criminal Justice related data.

Technical Skills/ Qualifications/Certifications:

Must have working knowledge and experience with Data Migration and Data Transformation tools and techniques, data reporting and visualization tools and techniques, and with reactive, prescriptive, and predictive analysis of data.

Communication Skills:

Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
