How You'll Help:
We are seeking a Director of Brand and Communications to help HelioCampus build and articulate the brand story of the company both internally and externally to better support company growth objectives. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining brand standards for the company and creating content aligned with the brand and business goals. This role will report into the VP of Marketing and collaborate closely with marketing leadership to align the overall brand story and drive measurable success across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee and manage the HelioCampus brand voice and identity including design, content, brand initiatives and campaigns
  • Articulate and educate internal and external audiences on the HelioCampus brand positioning and what that means for strategic direction
  • Work with Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales to develop the appropriate tools that allow for accurate portrayal of the brand and company-level messaging
  • Lead the communications and PR strategy for HelioCampus including fostering relationships with media contacts, influencers, thought leaders in higher education and analysts
  • Develop and implement company and product-level thought leadership strategy
  • Collaborate with Product Management to build and execute a strategy around community development and engagement at the company level
  • Oversee the content marketing calendar and strategy including copywriting and social media channel distribution
  • Vet and manage outside vendors and freelancers tasked with communicating the brand
  • Manage event presence including content, booth and speaking opportunities at industry events, trade shows and hosted events
  • Oversee and manage planning and production of company sponsored events including our annual Community Summit
  • Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions

You’ll Be a Good Fit For This Role If You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field
  • 7+ years of related experience, preferably in Marketing and Communications
  • Demonstrated proficiency with communications technologies and tracking success of brand level campaigns
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and marketing automation tools
  • Impeccable copywriting and copy editing skills
  • Experience supporting leadership to articulate complicated concepts
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-departmental teams
  • Strong work ethic and sense of accountability

Nice To Haves Include:

  • Experience working with analysts and thought leaders in the Higher Ed space
  • Experience working with a CEO/Founder to articulate a brand story
  • Experience in a SaaS organization

Location:
HelioCampus has three locations, Bethesda, MD, Chapel Hill, NC, and Philadelphia, PA. This is a remote role with occasional requirements to make it to one of our three offices.


Compensation and Benefits:
