Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is looking to add a proactive, Part-Time Desktop Support Specialist to the Customer Care team. Ideal candidates will have basic understanding of delivering exceptional customer service in a Help Desk setting. This role will be responsible for providing problem resolution to customers needing technical assistance. Interactions with customers will be via phone, email, and in-person. Additionally, this role will take the lead in ticket report generation, analysis, and follow up to ensure completeness, accuracy, and a positive outcome.

Essential Functions
60% - Provides first-level support for desktop, audiovisual and/or phone systems; responds to requests or helpdesk tickets; creates and assigns Help Desk tickets for Desktop Support Technicians
30% - Prepares or retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs, or other documentation/record-keeping systems; analyzes reports to ensure prompt problem resolution and ticket closure; follows up with customers to understand and track their experience with the Help Desk; makes recommendations to the department of how to improve customer experience
10% - Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Desired Qualifications
A. Current MCCCD student
B. Letter of reference from MCCCD Faculty or Department/Program Chair
C. Six (6) months experience in technology support
D. Experience with a ticketing system
Special Working Conditions
This position is located at the District Office: 2419 W. 14th Street, Tempe, AZ 85281
MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
This is a temporary, part-time position (up to 19.5 hours/week), not eligible for benefits.
May be required to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends depending on needs of the Department.
May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and viewing a computer monitor.
