Desktop Support Specialist
LOCATION: Pontiac, IL - ONSITE
STATUS: W2 - Full-Time with Benefits
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 7AM to 4PM
SALARY: $25/hr - $27/hr depending on experience

Essential Duties
:
The
Desktop Support Specialist
will perform the following key functions:
General IT Support
Installing, physically moving, changing/upgrading, and disposing of computer hardware and software products
Scheduling patching and implementations
Deployment and configuration of new/replacement factory specific hardware and software
RCA input for factory affecting outages and general input to new troubleshooting
criteria.
Maintaining virus protection, OS service packs, general operations, and providing back-up and disaster recovery
Handling print queue issues
and working with the printer support team to fix
issues.
Performing hardware and software break fix on computer equipment within our customer's site
Managing PC loaner program
.
Managing the PC refresh for the office
.
Other Duties as
assigned.
Qualifications:
Outstanding people and communication skills to interact with other team members, customers, and management.
Competencies: Communications, Customer Focus, Safety.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intermediate-level knowledge of network infrastructure
A+ certification, Network+ certification, both a PLUS
Experience Supporting IT in a Factory is a PLUS

Office location: Pontiac, IL (Factory Environment)
On-site
Ability to occasionally lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
