Senator Bob Casey seeks a personable and organized individual to serve as Deputy Press Secretary in his Washington, DC office.

This person will serve as the spokesperson for the Senator’s Aging Committee portfolio and will take the lead on drafting communications materials for the Committee, including press releases, advisories, talking points, briefing memos, and more. This person will also staff the Senator at in-state press events. This job requires frequent travel to Pennsylvania, often during non-traditional work hours.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to multitask and independently problem-solve in high-stress and fast-paced situations. This is not an entry level position. Competitive candidates will have at least 2-3 years of congressional or on-the-ground communications experience. Strong Pennsylvania ties are preferred. The onboarding salary for this position is $60,000 annually.
