As a data scientist, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges.

We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical skills to improve the U.S. Space Force. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll craft strategies, develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help the U.S. Space Force and Air Force General Officers make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. You Have:

• Experience with Data Science, Data Analytics, or Data Visualization
• Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL
• Experience with data wrangling techniques to cleanse data for data science applications
• Ability to work up to 100% of the time alongside clients in a virtual or in-person environment based on project needs at CONUS locations
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
• Ability to communicate information and translate technical topics to non-technical senior government and military clients in verbal and written formats
• Ability to work independently and define project objectives and milestones
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI
• Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with data orchestration tools, including Airflow
• Knowledge of the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or another DoD Service

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
