Basic Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Customer Service Specialist for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team primarily responsible for representing the company to external and internal customers, coordinating RFQs for functional input, calculating and preparing pricing documentation, quote sheet documentation, and submitting quotes to requestors. The Customer Service Specialist will also be responsible for coordinating contract reviews, anticipating and reconciling issues/discrepancies, and maintaining comprehensive, accurate files for quotes and orders. At General Dynamics Mission Systems we manufacture Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience with IFS and Oracle preferred
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting contractual/specification requirements, internal flow-down requirements, and quality requirements at the time of requests for quotation and processing of purchase orders
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to expedite and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of flexibility, accuracy, and attention to detail
