Customer Service Agents: Wayfinding, Ushering, and Line Management

Welcome to SEA, Seattle Tacoma International Airport. We're hiring for airport customer service agents ASAP (as soon as possible). This job is shift-based, and available shifts are currently (though subject to change with operational/budgeting needs):

3:45-12:00 (Noon), 6:00-14:00 (2:00pm), 10:00-18:00 (6:00pm), 11:45-20:00 (8:00pm), 13:45-22:00 (1:45pm to 10:00pm), 14:00-Close (2:00pm to 10:00pm or Later)

Where our airport customer service agents work:

• Airport Terminal/TSA Checkpoints - Wayfinding, Line Management, Reporting Checkpoint Conditions
• International Arrivals Facility - Customer Service, Line Management, and Escorting Guests

This is a HIGHLY VISIBLE position to the traveling public and you must enjoy engaging and directing guests both flying out and those arriving internationally. You will need to stand out and speak up to make it easy for passengers to find the help they need and to manage lines and queues.

Work is not remote and must be done on-site and located at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, 17801 International Boulevard, SeaTac, WA 98158.

Starting wage will begin at $19.06 per hour. Benefits for those working part-time include parking or parking and transit reimbursement (limited for part-time), paid sick and vacation time accruals, and 401(k) for those meeting eligibility requirements, full-time team members also have access later to medical and dental insurance options.

The airport is open 365 days a year which will include weekends and holidays. Scheduling flexibility and wider availability to work is preferred.

You will be actively involved in wayfinding, managing waiting spaces for travelers flying out or inbound internationally, and redirecting guests and assisting guests through security checkpoint entrances or assisting passengers within the checkpoints.

We offer a friendly smile, helping hand, or even a translation (or several). You will need to be professional and motivated by interacting with those at Seattle Tacoma International Airport to be successful at this job. As you will be dealing with large crowds and sometimes long lines, the confident and friendly are encouraged to apply.

You will also need to feel confident in using available technology to communicate with colleagues and share information with customers such as the use of phone apps (flySEA or Mobile Passport) and the use of two-way radios. This will be a very active position with frequent walking and standing or sitting for extended periods of time excluding breaks.

Due to our work with international inbound flights and the region's traveling public as well as other workers providing services to our guests, our team members must be able to communicate effectively in English and fluency in another language is preferred particularly those associated with guests entering on international flights and the region, at large.

One must be able to obtain and maintain an airport badge with preference to those also able to obtain a Customs seal for work in international arrivals areas.
