Customer Engineering Manager - Seatbelt Engineering

This Customer Engineering Manager will be the technical representative of the customer(s) assigned in

Engineering who will focus on customer satisfaction, manage AS100 and AS7 engineering deliverables

and support quotes following the company roadmap and VEVA initiatives.

What you’ll do:

 Represent the customer in Engineering, understand customer requirements and needs.

 Execution of technical tasks for assigned APDS projects, achieving project targets.

 First management level for internal support for all technical related issues and responsible for coordination with Customer Program Manager on any AS100 related issues.

 Resource management: improve correlation between prediction and actual; drive clear priorities

to team members; resolve conflicts - escalate as needed.

 Develop and grow team members.

 Creating / Validating Product Design for Seatbelts

 Understand customer specifications and ensuring product is designed/validated accordingly.

Drive the design to meet 1P1P expectations.

 PSC/ Quoting – Ensure BOM and tech presentation is complete.

 Collaborate with Customer Program Managers to ensure the needs of the customer are being met.

 Support all prototype part builds both internally and at the customer, as required.

 Support customer engineering and manufacturing plants as required.

 Attend, support and participate in Feasibility Design and Engineering reviews

What is required:

 A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

 5+ years of experience within automotive safety systems

 5+ years of management/leadership experience with an excellent track record in product

design/development

 Experience in Seatbelt development is preferred.

 Design for manufacturing experience

 Experience interfacing with internal and external customers globally.

 Previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with ability to provide Plant and

Customer support.

 Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
