SUMMARY

The Customer Account Specialist will work directly with the sales, engineering and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The Customer Account Specialist will work on growing product sales alongside the Product Support Team, Engineering Team and Customer Service Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate sales opportunities for continuous organic growth of the business unit.
  • Develop and maintain a target customer activity plan that includes opportunities, quotes, orders and projects for key customers.
  • Work with inside and/or outside sales representatives to ensure account activities are on schedule.
  • Work with procurement and manufacturing to ensure accurate scheduled delivery dates and verification of on hand inventory.
  • Support the development and implementation of the business strategy and ensure it is closely linked with the strategic priorities of the business.

Job Requirements:

Critical Competencies

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of SAP a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements


High School Diploma, A minimum of 3-5 years’ customer service experience. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Previous experience in manufacturing is preferred, but not required. Additional requirements include strong analytical and communication skills as well as the following:

  • Self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees to increase sales growth.
  • Must excel at working in a team environment.
  • Effective and collaborative problem solving skills including defining the problem, collecting data, establishing a solution, creating a standard, and sustaining.
  • Ability to write reports and present information to groups of managers, employees, and customers.
  • Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding group facilitation, training, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: positive, persuasive, motivating.
  • Demonstrated talent for building effective relationships with individuals at all levels in the organization.
