Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS) is seeking a bachelor's level clinician to join our growing Mobile Crisis Team serving Thurston and Mason counties! We are a dynamic and rapidly growing organization serving the most vulnerable in our communities. The Crisis Clinician provides clinical and technical support to the Crisis Services Program of Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS), a licensed behavioral health agency. The primary responsibilities of the Crisis Clinician (BA) are to respond to community outreach referrals, maintain the OHRS crisis phone line, triage referrals and dispatch staff in real time.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provides mobile crisis intervention and stabilization services in person in varied environments throughout the community.
  • Provides screening and triage services by telephone and face-to-face.
  • Responds to and triages calls from consumers, family members, and other referral sources requesting crisis services including, but not limited to crisis intervention and involuntary treatment assessment.
  • Maintains familiarity with and handles client information in accordance with Federal Regulations (42 CFR, Part 2 and 45 CFR), and other applicable laws pertaining to confidentiality of client and staff information.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in utilization of electronic medical record system.
  • Maintains timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Washington State law, and current best practices.
  • Supports Crisis and ITA Team on program deliverables including Provider compliance documentation and encounter tracking.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $25.75 - $34.78 per hour. DOE. This position is eligible for shift differential ($1/hr evenings, $3/hr weekends and nights)

Available Schedules: (Staff work four 10 hour shifts one week and three 13 hour shifts the following week, alternating.)

  • Wed-Sat/Thur-Sat 9pm-7am/6pm-7:20am

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, or a related area required.
  • Associate's of Arts in psychology, social work, or a related area with two years of experience would be considered
  • Two (2) years of administrative and/or clinical experience within a social service or a closely related environment
  • Current Washington State Driver's License and proof of insurance
  • Qualifies as an Agency Affiliated Counselor
  • Satisfactory Washington State Patrol background clearances and excluded party sanctions
  • Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record

  • Knowledge of conflict resolution principles, de-escalation, and problem-solving techniques.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily conducts outreaches in the community to include, but not limited to, inpatient facilities, residential facilities, individual’s homes, and community common areas. Computer and phone based tasks are primarily conducted in an office environment.
  • Outreach to individuals who may be living in the community, sanctioned and non-sanctioned camps, and in shelters.
  • Often performed under physically demanding, stressful, and environmentally diverse conditions, and requires the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and demands.
  • Regular, on-site, predictable attendance is required.
  • Service responsibilities require on-call availability at certain times, including availability during normal business hours and after hours/weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Regular use of fleet vehicles and/or personal vehicle required for service in a two-county regional area
  • Moderate physical exertion is required. May be required to walk up and down stairs and walk short distances on uneven terrain. May be required to lift or move boxes/equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
