COUNSELOR Visitation - Full-Time

Work Site: St. Johns Service Center-New Brunswick

Salary: $36,500

Responsibilities:

Somerset Youth Services- New Brunswick, New Jersey

• Work with a DCP&P contracted caseload of children placed in relative or non-relative Resource Homes
• Provide Supervised Visitation in a therapeutic/supportive environment while providing psychoeducational interventions to biological parents and their children working towards family reunification.

-In-home, in-community and in-office visits to DCP&P referred families throughout Middlesex County

• Facilitate case conference with DCP&P and other providers
• Input electronic records including NJSPIRIT and MyEvolv
• Attend and participate in approved agency trainings, as appropriate

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Requires a flexible schedule including availability of 2-3 evenings a week until 8p.m.
• Strong writing skills/detailed case documentation are necessary
• Driver’s license in good standing as position requires transportation of children
