COST CONTROLLER

Orlando, FL

Direct Hire

$60,000 to $75,000 Commensurate with Experience

Position Overview

Manages large and complex projects. Utilizes complex project management strategies to plan and implement projects within the constraints of scope, cost, quality, time, and client expectation. Provides reports on progress and outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages large and complex project planning and tracking, managing scope, activity, delivery, budget and reporting to achieve KS’ strategic goals.
  • Aligns and manages client expectations.
  • Communicates to internal and external audiences the project timelines and progress.
  • Oversees professional and peer development related to the planning and delivery of programs, projects and organizational and technical change.
  • Monitor and collect date form project management team to determine project progression according to budget.
  • Act as consultant to project management teams and manage financial transactions approved by managers.
  • Work closely with Finance team and manage all project’s general ledger, and/or monitor project cash flow.
  • Assist general finance with ad hoc assignments and audit support as required.

Qualifications/Experience/ Skills and Attributes

Required:

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related.
  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing.
  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and social skills
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure to meet constant deadlines.
  • Well organized, with an ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Hands-on team player, fostering a sense of team building.
  • Possessing strong interpersonal and personal skills including: o an ability to manage conflict. o an ability to work and deal with people at various levels and of diverse cultures. o a sense of urgency o being self-motivated and with initiative

Preferred:

  • Accounting experience in publicly traded construction a plus

Work Schedule / Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
  • Will be required to conduct site visits often to accurately report project progress.
  • Hours: 8am – 5pm (MON-FRI)
