Job Description

You will provide technical support to Rockwell Automation customers, field engineers, and product support personnel who are troubleshooting systems. The technician will provide technical expertise for Rockwell Automation’s Logix family of products, communications, and technologies. You will report to the Remote Support Supervisor in Mayfield Village, Ohio and will be fully remote, working anywhere in the United States.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support by solving customer issues by phone, chat, and email.
  • Be a liaison to the customer for multiple product families and different types of customer inquiries.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction as measured by feedback surveys.
  • Follow company procedures, and team operating procedures.
  • Complete company required documentation and trainings.
  • Support our area of Automation and share knowledge with engineers.
  • Update and author Technical Notes and other documentation with solutions to commonly experienced problems, installation practices that create problems, how-to guides, etc. to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED and Technical School Work or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Two or more years of experience designing, starting up, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
  • Understanding of Rockwell Automation products including, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC & PLC5 Processors, I/O, and their communications.
  • The ability to handle high pressure work situations.
  • Self-initiative, ownership, a desire to follow issues to resolution, and commercial sensitivity.
  • Have a responsive, a customer-centric, collaborative, mindset.
  • Interpret technical data and act upon it.
  • Experience with networks including ControlNet, DeviceNet, and EtherNet/IP.

The base salary compensation range for this role in Colorado and New York City is $50,000 - $60,000 with an annual target bonus of 4% of base salary.
