Summary:

Reporting to the Contract Lead, this position is responsible for leading the administration of assigned contracts in support of the Operations department. This role is responsible for the development, monitoring, administration, and closeout of service contracts for Operations within defined standards and consistent LUMA practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for, coordination, administration, monitoring, and closing out of service contracts.
  • Act as a point of contact for assigned teams/contracts for the administration of contracts
  • Responsible for reviewing and processing in a timely matter payment of invoices, change orders approvals, and ensuring contract completion.
  • Prepare contract reports and documentation to ensure they meet core internal criteria & consistency
  • Maintain a digital system of contracts, records, and other documentation
  • Responsible for reviewing and processing any change orders without delay and keeping track of the contract deadlines or expiration dates so that if they are not met, the necessary actions can be taken to comply with LUMA’s Procurement Policy.
  • Responsible for providing updates, support, and guidance to the Operations end-users when requested.
  • Responsible for monitoring workloads & contract delivery timelines & for the quality of completed contract deliverables
  • Additional related tasks will be assigned, as required.
  • Contract management/administration or Supply Chain Management training and experience would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Assertive and ability to deal with difficult and demanding customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Participate in major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned
  • Comply with all LUMA policies and procedures

Education

  • Undergraduate Degree Program, Business degree program, Degree Law program, Supply Chain Program, college diploma, or technical institute certificate.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction/electrical services/project management/large industrial/governmental/utility environment.
  • Knowledge/experience/awareness of procurement/contracting processes from strategy development all the way to closeout of the executed contract would be a strong asset.
  • Experience in a complex administrative role with detail-oriented tasks would be an asset.
