My Roofing Crew is seeking candidates for a Construction Project Accountant position in Springfield, TN.

My Roofing Crew is a young and progressive roofing company based out of Springfield, TN, just North of Nashville. Founded by two individuals with a combined thirty years’ experience in general contracting, roofing, and emergency services with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are currently licensed in eleven states across the Southeast primarily focused on commercial and residential roofing. We have experienced such growth over the last six years that we are seeking a Construction Project Accountant to join our team.

Position Summary:

The Project Accountant’s primary responsibility is to support the commercial project team regarding contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports, and any other duties related to any projects. This position reports directly to the CFO and indirectly to the Director of Commercial Estimating.

Essential Functions:

• Manage all accounting related functions for assigned projects.

• Assist project teams with any questions or needs related to the accounting department.

• Manage invoices, payments, and compliance for assigned projects.

• Understand compliance requirements for assigned projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline.

• Process sub-contractor payments accurately and within assigned timeline.

• Collect and track compliance documents.

• Generate reports including Payroll, A/R, Contract Status, and Job Cost. .

• Job cost report modification.

• Other related duties as assigned or needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Accounting from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 2 years prior experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper.

• Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.

Pay: $15.00 - $32.42 per hour
