We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a CNC Machinist within our Engineering team to help support our business. Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As a CNC Machinist you will have the opportunity to setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The team you will be working with is collaborative, and values supporting each other to grow their skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Makes engineered parts for machinery from sketches and blueprints. Performs set-up and operation of various machine tools to accomplish production machinery functions. Uses milling, drilling, grinding, and other machines. Deciphers sketches, blueprints, and engineering details. Runs electronic equipment and systems to perform work.


Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed.

Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree or equivalent and minimum of two years of CNC Machining experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in machine shop operations and controls of equipment or systems
  • Must be able to read blue prints, mathematics knowledge, along with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical functions
  • Able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Should have good organization and time management skills
  • Should possess communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to hold close tolerances
  • Must be able to push at least 80 pounds
  • Must be able to pull at least 40 pounds
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
