Job description

Basic Function:

Sets up and operates a computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machine to perform multiple cuts on granite or quartz. Machines and cuts specific modifications on stone through shop drawings. Shop drawings will consist of; rough drawings, architectural drawings, templates, digital files, and/or, cad files.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

1. Places and secures material to the table of CNC

2. Prepares material to specific dimension acquired by tool specifications

3. Takes corrective action/plan for errors present on work orders

4. Performs edge treatment and sink cut-out preparation according to work order

5. Operate standard carpentry machines/tools: electric/ pneumatic tools (grinder, polisher)

6. Use precision instruments to set up machine and tooling

7. Practice safety rules, processes, and policy

8. Maintain tools sharp and clean

9. Maintain work area clean

10. Reports malfunctions of the CNC equipment to appropriate personnel

11. Maintain a professional attitude and manners towards co-workers

12. Complete special manufacturing projects as assigned

13. Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

*Know how to properly operate power tools (required)

*Accurately use a tape measurer and hand tools (required)

* Punctual (required)

* Must be willing to work a full shift of 8 hours (40 hours per week required)

*Able to lift up to 80 pounds

*Available to work overtime if necessary (required)

Education:

High school or equivalent (preferred but not required)
